No. iDirectVet has a built-in database with all the functionality of an EMR (Electronic Medical Record) , yet the data is captured and stored in a simple, easily accessible format for optimal user experience, and is interoperable with many of the leading EMR (Electronic Medical Record)/EHR (Electronic Medical Records) solutions currently available.
Can we attach pets photo or audio file through iDirectVet?+
Yes, you may attach up to five photo or audio files with each iDirectVet session. Additionally, the pet’s personal health record (PHR) maintains a permanent pet photo for purposes of identification to promote safe clinical practice.
Is iDirectVet HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) compliant?+
Information provided through iDirectVet and all other healthcare information is protected by the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA). Both your pet information and practice information are confidential and secure with us. iDirectVet encryption technology is consistent with the security offered by banking, credit card, and military institutions.
Does use of iDirectVet present a business risk?+
